Justice Prathiba Singh Appointed Chair of WIPO Advisory Board of Judges

Justice Prathiba M. Singh of the Delhi High Court has been appointed as the Chair of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) Advisory Board of Judges for the 2025–2027 term. The Advisory Board comprises judges from various jurisdictions and plays a central role in supporting WIPO’s judicial dialogue initiatives, capacity-building programmes, and efforts to promote the global exchange of best practices in intellectual property adjudication. As Chair, Justice Singh will guide initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation between national judiciaries and the international intellectual property framework.

Alongside Justice Singh, WIPO has appointed nine other members to the Advisory Board: Luis Antonio Camargo Vergara (Panama), Du Weike (China), Zhanar Duisenova (Kazakhstan), Mohammad ElZend (Egypt), Jean-Christophe Gayet (France), Michael Manson (Canada), Mustapher Mohamed Siyani (Tanzania), Savvas Papasavvas (European Union), and Woo Sungyop (Republic of Korea). The diverse composition reflects WIPO’s continued emphasis on fostering judicial collaboration across legal systems.

In addition to this appointment, Justice Singh currently serves as the Co-Chair of the World Health Organization’s Working Group on Regulatory Considerations on Artificial Intelligence in Health, where she contributes to the development of international regulatory guidance on emerging technologies.
